Hi, I am Atlas! Let's learn how your body moves. Press gently on your arm. The hard part deep inside is a bone. Bones are stiff and strong. They give your body its shape and hold you up tall, like the poles inside a tent. Now squeeze the top of your arm. The soft, squishy part is a muscle. Muscles can get short and tight, and that is called pulling. When a muscle pulls on a bone, the bone moves! That is how you bend your elbow (the joint in the middle of your arm), wave your hand, walk to the door, and stand up from the floor. Bones cannot move by themselves. They need muscles to pull them. Bones and muscles are a team. They work together so you can run, jump, and play. Try bending your arm right now and feel them work!

Hi! I am Nova. Tonight we are going to look at the stars together! Look up at the night sky. There are SO many stars. Stars are tiny points of light we see at night. One star alone is not a constellation — you need a whole group! Long, long ago, people played a dot-to-dot game with the stars. They picked groups of stars and drew pretend lines between them — just like connecting the dots on paper. Those lines made picture shapes! We call those picture shapes CONSTELLATIONS. A constellation is a group of stars that people connected into a pattern to look like something — an animal, a person, or an object. One famous constellation is called Orion. It looks like a hunter standing tall. Another one is called Ursa Major — that means Big Bear! People use constellations like a map. Once you learn where one star picture is, you can find it again on many clear nights throughout the year. That helps you know where you are in the sky. Here is the secret: the stars do not really touch. We just IMAGINE the lines. It is a game our eyes play!

But they both have orange beaks and webbed feet. Baby animals like these look a lot like their parents! As a duckling grows up, it gets bigger. Its fluffy baby feathers (called down) fall out and smooth feathers grow in. One day, it looks just like its mama or papa. This happens with other animals too. A baby cat is called a kitten. A kitten is tiny with soft fur. When it grows up, it becomes a big cat with the same kind of fur and the same shape ears. A baby dog is called a puppy. A puppy grows into a dog that looks like its mom or dad. Here is the big idea: for animals like ducks, cats, dogs, and horses, babies grow up to look like their parents. A baby duck grows into a duck — not a cat, not a fish. With birds and mammals like these, the baby always grows into the same kind of animal as its parents!

When you fry an egg in a pan, the wet, clear part turns white and solid. These are very special kinds of changes! These changes are called irreversible — that is a big word that means the change cannot go backward. You cannot turn bread back into dough. You cannot turn a fried egg back into a raw egg. The heat from cooking makes something brand new. Think of it like this: the dough goes into the hot oven, and something totally different — bread — comes out! The dough is gone, and the bread is here to stay. Not all changes work this way. If you melt an ice cube, you can freeze the water again to make ice. That change can go backward! But cooking is different — once food is cooked, it stays cooked and cannot go back.
